Smoky Chicken Croquettes are crispy, golden-brown delights made with a flavorful mixture of shredded chicken, creamy mashed potatoes, cheese, and smoky spices. The filling is seasoned with paprika, garlic, black pepper, and a hint of smoked chili or barbecue seasoning to enhance the smoky flavor. These croquettes are shaped into bite-sized cylinders or patties, coated in breadcrumbs, and deep-fried or baked until perfectly crispy.
With a crunchy exterior and a soft, savory center, Smoky Chicken Croquettes offer a delicious balance of textures and flavors. The smoky essence adds depth to the taste, making them an irresistible snack or appetizer. Ingredients:
-Tikka masala 1 & ½ tbs
-Lemon juice 2 tbs
-Ginger garlic paste ½ tbs
-Bbq sauce 1 & ½ tbs
-Chicken fillets 500g
-Cooking oil 1 & ½ tbs
-Charcoal for smoke
-Cooking oil 3-4 tbs
-Onion chopped 2 medium
-Garlic chopped 1 tbs
-All-purpose flour ½ Cup
-Milk 1 & ½ Cup
-Red chilli crushed 1 tsp
-Himalayan pink salt 1 tsp or to taste
-Black pepper powder ½ tsp
-Cream ½ Cup
-Fresh basil leaves chopped 1 tbs
-Fresh coriander chopped 1 tbs
-Mozzarella cheese grated ½ Cup
-All-purpose flour 1 Cup or as required
-Eggs whisked 2
-Breadcrumbs 1 Cup or as required
-Cooking oil for frying
Directions:
-In a frying pan,add tikka masala,lemon juice,ginger garlic paste,bbq sauce & mix well.
-Add chicken fillets,coat well,cover & marinate 15 minutes.
-Add cooking oil,turn on the flame & cook on low flame until done (5 minutes each side).
-Remove from flame & shred the chicken with the help of fork.
-Give coal smoke for 2 minutes.
-In a frying pan,add cooking oil,onion,garlic,mix well & sauté for 2 minutes.
-Add all-purpose flour,mix well & cook for a minute.
-Add milk,mix well & cook until it thickens.
-Add red chilli crushed,pink salt,black pepper powder & mix well.
-Turn off the flame,add cream,fresh basil leaves,fresh coriander & mix well.
-Now add shredded chicken,mozzarella cheese & mix until well combined.
-With the help of greased hands,take small quantity of mixture (60g) & make a ball.
-Coat with all-purpose flour then dip into whisked eggs & coat with breadcrumbs.
-Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 month in freezer.
-In a wok,heat cooking oil & fry croquettes on medium flame until golden brown.
-Serve with tomato ketchup!
